The Recreation Department is on a mission to make your experience in Rocky River even more enjoyable! We're constantly brainstorming new and exciting camps, clubs, and training sessions designed to bring our community together and add a dash of fun to your day.

  • Program Information

    Join Ms. Terese for a whimsical ballet-themed adventure.

    Bring your favorite doll or toy and make matching jewelry fit for royalty! Also includes a celebration with music & ballet dance.

  • Program Information

    SportsPlay introduces young children to a variety of sports in a fun, positive, and non-competitive setting. Each class includes warm-ups, skill development, active games, and teamwork activities.

    Schedule

    Saturdays, July 11 - August 1

    • Ages 2–3: 10:15–10:45 AM

    • Ages 3–5: 11:00–11:45 AM

    Program Focus

    Children build confidence, motor skills, coordination, and a love for physical activity through age-appropriate sports exploration.

  • Program Information

    Whether your child is new to chess or an experienced player, Chess Camp provides instruction, practice, and friendly competition in a fun learning environment.

    • August 10–14

    • Full Day: 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

    • Half Day AM: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM

    • Half Day PM: 1:00–4:00 PM

    Program Focus

    Students will improve strategy, decision-making, concentration, and problem-solving skills through instruction, games, tournaments, and chess-related activities.

    Bring your little one outdoors for an engaging class combining music, movement, sensory exploration, storytelling, yoga, and art.

  • Program Information

    Snapology camps combine STEM learning with creativity and hands-on building challenges. Campers use LEGO® bricks and other materials to explore engineering, science, technology, and design concepts.

  • Program Information

    Dance, groove, and connect with your little one in this welcoming movement class designed specifically for parents and caregivers wearing their babies.

    Program Focus

    Enjoy easy-to-follow movements inspired by music from the 90s and early 2000s while bonding with your child and connecting with other parents in a supportive environment.

  • Program Information

    Experience life at the farm through hands-on interactions with ponies and horses. Campers will learn basic riding concepts, grooming, horse care, safety, and stable routines.

    Schedule

    Multiple sessions available May–August.

    Program Focus

    Participants gain confidence around animals while learning horse care, responsibility, safety, and introductory riding skills in a fun farm setting.
