This mission is something we take very seriously and something we want you to be part of! There are countless reasons to join us through memberships, activities, programs and classes. We can’t wait to meet you!
We have something for everyBODY! A variety of membership options are available to both residents and non-residents!
For our youngest rec guests, the Kids Cove is available during certain hours. The space is full of fun games, toys and activities.
We’re excited to offer the Recreation Passport Program for our residents that want to take advantage of all things Rocky River Rec!

The Rocky River Recreation Department is made up of fitness & well-being spaces, sports facilities, pools and splash areas as well as beautiful lakefront parks and playgrounds. Check out any of our facilities or spaces and we’re sure you’ll fall in love with our endless recreational opportunities.
Facility Rentals and Parties
The City of Rocky River has a variety of spaces and locations to host any event!
Options are nearly limitless but availability is limited and open first to our residents followed by visitors to our community. Outdoor spaces, the woodland feel of Elmwood Cabin, or a formal event in the Civic Center. We can certainly find a space to make your event or party the talk of the town!
Kids’ Cove
Kids' Cove is the childcare service for children ages 6 months - 9 years old.
Parents must be participating in a Civic Center activity or using the Indoor Pool, Fitness Center or Ice Rink while their children are in the Kids Cove. There is a 1-2 hour time limit.

There are so many ways to recreate in Rocky River and we have a space for you! Our Recreation Center boasts an elevated track, indoor basketball courts, fitness center, aquatic facility and so much more! Are you more of a winter sports fan? Not a problem! Hamilton Ice Arena is right next door with a variety of open skate times and ice activities for the whole family!
