Traffic Advisory – Wagar Road Resurfacing Project

Beginning Monday, June 8, Wagar Road between Hilliard Boulevard and Detroit Road will be restricted to one-way traffic in the southbound direction as part of the City's Wagar Road Resurfacing Project.

The project includes roadway repairs and improvements such as full-depth pavement repairs, curb and gutter replacement, asphalt resurfacing, pavement markings, and sidewalk and curb ramp improvements.

Motorists traveling northbound on Wagar Road will be detoured at Hilliard Boulevard, proceeding east on Hilliard Boulevard to Wooster Road, north on Wooster Road to Detroit Road, and west on Detroit Road to reconnect with Wagar Road. Detour signage will be posted throughout the project area.

In addition, Westway Drive between Wagar Road and Detroit Road will be closed to through traffic during construction. This section of Westway will be used for construction staging and material storage and is also included in the early phase of roadway work. Westway Drive will receive pavement improvements and resurfacing as part of the project.

Residents will continue to have access to their homes throughout construction, although temporary driveway restrictions may occur during specific phases of work. Advance notice will be provided whenever access is expected to be affected.
