Public Meeting Announcement – Rockcliff Drive Infrastructure Project

The City of Rocky River invites residents to attend an important public meeting on Tuesday, March 31 at 6:30 PM at the Don Umerley Civic Center to learn more about the upcoming Rockcliff Drive Water, Storm Sewer, Sanitary Sewer, and Pavement Replacement Project.

This major infrastructure improvement will include full replacement of the water main, storm and sanitary sewers, and roadway, along with new service laterals to homes, drive apron replacements, and other surface improvements. The project will also enhance safety and connectivity through the addition of an 8-foot-wide mixed-use path along the north side of Rockcliff Drive, connecting to the Metroparks trail system. Construction is anticipated to begin in late Summer 2026 and continue through Fall 2027, with temporary water service and modified traffic patterns in place during construction.

In addition to a high-level overview of the project, the City will present results from the Private Property Inflow & Infiltration (I&I) Reduction Program testing conducted on Rockcliff Drive, highlighting ongoing efforts to improve sewer system performance and reduce the risk of backups. Residents will receive individual property results associated with the testing.  Representatives from City Administration, the City’s consulting engineer, and AECOM will be present to share information and answer questions. Local contractors who perform sewer repair work have also been invited to attend and provide guidance to residents.  This information will be shared after the general project information for residents who do not wish to stay.

This meeting is a valuable opportunity to learn more about the project, understand how it may impact your property and neighborhood, and engage directly with the project team. We encourage all interested residents to attend.
